Branding is paramount on music magazines, that is how they are sold, so when I went into a newsagents I took pictures to show how they are presented. It has shown me some pointers of how to design my own magazine, I will need to make sure that my magazine will be suitable to the current market who buy music magazines because the classial ones don't get sold that much, as they are at the back, so my one will need to be pop, rock ect. magazine. Additionaly, it will need to follow the conventions of a music magzaine (masthead at  the top ect.) and the composition/fonts and colours will need to be clear for the audience to see it and want to pick it up. Also, the cover image will need to have eye contact as that is one of the main selling points. Finally if the magazine contains a free gift the magazines tend to use hotspots in the shop to sell the magazine, so if my magazine has a free gift I will need to make it clear.
