Weather Planning
It is vital to plan my photo shoot because the weather can play a very big benefactor because i am planning on doing the shoot outside on a cold day with some mild fog but, sunny. The best time do accomplish this is near the end of November when it is starting to get colder but I will be able to compose the layout of the magazine whilst i wait for the right time. However, the 20th November is looking promising so I will get everything ready including; costume, camera equipment and the locations.
Shot Type
The shots that I am planning on doing are; a mid close up shot taken as the band are looking into the distance, medium long shot of all three band members which will be used on the cover, a single medium long shot of the 'dropped out' band member for the main article, several extreme close up shots of band members, wide shot of band 'jumping' off wall and walking into distance and several wide shots of whole band 'sociolising'. These shots are only the initial drafts I will take more when I do them because of later inspiration. I have provided a few of the examples of shot types below to demonstrate my thoughts.
(Medium close up of the band looking into the distance) - I really like the use of focusing to make you aware of who is more important.
(Medium long shot of band jumping off wall) - I really like this shot becuase it makes you feel connected and the band looking happy/natural.
(Low angle shot, looking into distance) - There will obviously be three members and in a line but this will give a sense of power and that they have gone far in their career.
Locations
One of my shots (probably for the main article) will be a mid close up shot taken as the band are looking into the distance with a tree in the background but by the time the pictures are taken all of the leaves will have fallen off however, it will make it more seasonal. Another shot will be on a bench with the band 'laughing' acting natural, mostly all of the shots will be outside so there will be a lot of greens and baby blues which are unisex colours to appeal to my unisex audience.
'The Band Members'
All of the 'band members' are different heights that is why i will take the pictures with them descending in height at a diagonal to make it look like they are all the same height because of the perspective that the shot will give.
